MANEPO is an umbrella body coordinating civil society organisations whose aim is to help older people claim their rights, challenge discrimination and overcome poverty, so that they can lead dignified, secure, active and healthy lives In Malawi.
MANEPO Is set to implement a comprehensive community outreach project in Blantyre, Chikwawa and Nsanje districts from 1 May, 2019. Applications are hereby Invited from competent persons for the below positions:
COMMUNITY NURSES (6)
Specific duties and responsibilities
These will include but not limited to:
Providing psychosocial counselling to older persons
Identify cases requiring referral
Attend regular debriefing sessions
Reporting any hiccups experienced and measures already taken to resolve the issue
Contribute to innovating ideas that can be improved on and adopted by MANEPO
Be a team player at all times and ensure that you actively contribute to team building
Document any emerging issue to facilitate further learning
Take an active role In improving your own performance by seriously adhering to performance improvement practices
Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Minimum qualification and experience
Bachelors Degree in Nursing and Midwifery
Minimum of 2 years of relevant hands on experience
Must be registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
Demonstrated understanding of public health challenges in rural, underserved and low-income communities.
