Kamuzu College of Nursing

Kamuzu College of Nursing (KCN) a constituent college of the University of Malawi in collaboration with the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) will be conducting a 5-year Group Antenatal Care research project in Blantyre, Malawi with funding from the National institutes of Health, National Institute for Nursing Research. To facilitate the execution of the research project, the project is seeking to engage the services of the following, whose other details maybe accessed on www.kcn.unima.mw:

DATA CLERK (FIXED TERM CONTRACT/PART-TIME)

Reporting to the Project Administrator, the incumbent will be required to execute data clerical duties on project activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are some of the key responsibilities of the post:

Organising meetings with health facilities’ authorities;
Interviewing research subjects and transcribing the interviews;
Data management i.e. typing, sorting, organizing, storing data into usable formats and making regular data backups; performing data verification and screening;
Following up on research subjects.

Qualification and Competencies

Applicants must have: MSCE with credits in English and Mathematics and a proven computer literacy.
