Malawi Gaming Board/National Lotteries Board, the regulatory authority of gaming and sports betting industry in Malawi, seeks to engage the services of two experienced drivers and one chauffeur.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  •  To drive the Board’s official vehicles on various assignments or errands as assigned by management.
  • Keep official vehicles clean, interior and exterior, in good running condition at all times and conduct daily check of fuel, water and oil levels.
  • Ensure timely maintenance, servicing and repair of vehicles
  • Ensure the road tax, certificate of fitness (COF) and insurance documents are up to date at all times.
  • Ensure all vehicles have a spare tyre, tools and triangles.
  • Ensure that, in the event of an accident involving the Board’s vehicle, the necessary steps required by rules and regulations are followed.
  • Ensure only authorised passengers travel in the vehicle and not carrying any unauthorised passengers in the vehicle.
  • Ensure the vehicles have up to date log books.
  • All requests for travel or to run errands for any office staff have to be authorised by the office and documented in the log book.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned from time to time.

This position requires a highly motivated and dynamic person with sober habits. In addition, the candidate(s) should have the following attributes:

  • Age between 27 – 45 years old
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain regular and consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  •  Malawi School Certificate of Education or its equivalent
  • The chauffeur must have relevant training and certificates
  • Valid professional driving licence and those with defensive driving certificate have an advantage
  • More than 5 years of experience in driving institutional vehicles.
