Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill vacant a position of Head Chef for AHL Cafeteria.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Chef will be responsible for the following, among others;

  • Preparation of quality meals for staff
  • Supervising cafeteria staff
  • Compiling periodic meal expenditure reports and records for Cafeteria
  • Maintaining reorder levels of food stuffs and other usable materials.
  • Maintaining cleanliness/hygiene of the cafeteria
  • Maintaining and ensuring security of inventory
  • Attending to cafeteria queries

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
  • Certificate in Food Production obtained from a recognised institution.
  • Three (3) years hands-on experience in culinary arts in a hotel, lodge or any reputable catering institution.
  • Supervisory skills
