Humanitarian Funding Coordinator

The Role

We are looking for a qualified Malawian to fill the position of Humanitarian Funding Coordinator.  The purpose of this position is to strategically develop and manage new and existing donor relationships and funding for the Malawi Country Program (focusing on Humanitarian Programmes), and effectively manage associated contracts.

What we are looking for

Applicants should possess at least a first degree and solid track record of planing for, securing and managing funds from institutional donors.  Applicants should also have existing understanding of fundraising and contract management systems and procedures.  Experience in securing and managing funds from DEC, DFID, DFATD, ECHO and SHO; and knowledge of humanitarian issues and the sectors covered in Malawi (gender justice, food security, and livelihoods, DRR, climate change, WASH) are added advantages.
