In an effort to continue reducing the burden of Malaria in this country, the Malawi Government (Ministry of Health) and World Vision International is planning to support implementation of Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) Campaign in Mangochi District in 2019 and 2020 at sixteen operations sites.

The IRS will be carried out with funding from Global Fund.

The campaigns will be conducted over the course of 36 working days each year, beginning on or about Mid October, 2019.

The IRS has targeted to cover 379,304 eligible structures and, protecting an estimated 1,148, 611 people.

It is for this reason that World Vision is seeking to fill various seasonal staff positions for the IRS implementation in Mangochi. These positions will be based at various operations sites in Mangochi District.

  • Receive and register mobilization forms from IEC assistants
  • Compile summaries for mobilization data and report to the district coordinator
  • Facilitate trainings on M&E for Spray operators
  • Follow up and obtain feedback from the Team Leaders and Supervisors on a daily basis on data quality issues
  • Receive and register received Spray Operation forms from Spray √Supervisors on daily basis
  • Receive and file team leaders forms from spray supervisors at operation site
  • Advise Supervisors and Team leaders about errors to facilitate timely correction
  • Facilitate delivery of spray forms to the data center on a daily basis
  • Liaise with data clerks in resolving any data completeness issues.
  • Conduct Data Collection, Verification in the field and Error Elimination Checks at the data center.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor/superior.


  • Certificate in Community Development, Statistics and any other related field
  • Ability to multitask, have leadership and supervision skills
  • Competent in using online database
  • Computer literate in MS word, Excel and power point
  • Experience in data entry and cleaning
  • Willingness to work during odd hours
  • Candidates with prior IRS training and experience will have an added advantage.
