Open Data Kit (ODK) Training Opportunity

Centre for Research and Capacity Development (CERCAD)

INTRODUCTION

As CERCAD we clearly understand that ODK is increasingly becoming an important tool in project implementation, monitoring, evaluation and research for decision making by program managers and management. However, a bottleneck analysis conducted by CERCAD indicated lack of capacity to embrace the technology for research and monitoring and evaluation. It is for this reason that CERCAD has organized a 4-day intensive training on setting up ODK system database, analysis of data extracted from ODK using pivot tables, pivot charts, use of Visual Basic Application, development of indicator dashboards, and development of key monitoring tools including the designing of indicator tracking tables, activity tracking tables.

ABOUT CERCAD

CERCAD is focuses in building capacity to researchers and organization staff by providing research and data management expertise. It has highly experienced researchers, data professionals and statisticians who have a wide range of experience in ODK and monitoring and evaluation. All professionals in this entity are highly qualified and have academic achievements to prove the same.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES

After completing the courses participants will be expected to learn how ODK works, descriptive analysis of data using pivot tables, pivot charts, designing indicator dashboard and designing key monitoring and evaluation tools.
