In order for NCA to continue developing its Programmes and partners’ programmes in Malawi, NCA seek an experienced person with solid knowledge and skills to fill the following vacant position:

Project Assistant – AGYW Project based in Thyolo

The successful candidate will be a part of the team at the NCA Malawi Representation but based in Thyolo.

Main Responsibility
The Project Assistant will be seconded to Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) Project which is being implemented in Thyolo District. Project Assistant will report to the Project Officer for the AGYW Project in Thyolo.

Specific Responsibilities

Implementation of the AGYW Project in Thyolo District
Planning, monitoring and reporting on the project as according to the project cycle
Facilitation and capacity building of Stakeholders and Communities for the Project
Community mobilisation and liaison
Networking and participation in district meetings

Education qualification and Skills

The Ideal candidate should possess the following attributes:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Community/Rural Development and Social Work from a recognised institution
3 years’ experience in working in a project implementing a Sexual Reproductive Health, Adolescent girls Health and HIV.
Computer literate especially in Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience in digital data monitoring is a MUST
Strong in Monitoring and Evaluation and data management skills
Good communication, Presentation and Reporting skills
Team player and self -starter
