PSI Malawi mission is to support low income and at risk Malawians to lead healthier lives through the provision and promotion of quality products and services, in line with the Government of Malawi goals. To accomplish its mission, PSI Malawi is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant position;

                                                                                                                                                           

Title:                    Quality Assurance Officer         

Location:            Mzuzu

Reports To:        Quality Assurance Coordinator                                                                                

 Responsibilities

  • Implement QA activities as outlined in the QA plan
  • Assist the QA and Training Coordinator in conducting annual External Quality Assurance audit
  • Ensure that the results of the monitoring are uploaded in DHIS2
  • Ensure appropriate and timely reporting and response to AE recorded in Reproductive Health Clinics
  • Conduct client interviews to assist in determining the quality and value of RH performance
  • Conduct Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) sessions in RH clinics
  • Build a relationship with the RH service providers that is based on interdependence and to emphasize on role as a helper rather than an inspector
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with government, other NGO’s and the local medical community and institutions

Qualification, Knowledge, Ability and Skills

  • Diploma in Nursing or Clinical Medicine with at least two years of progressive experience in reproductive health with valid driving license
  • Registered with Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi or Medical Council of Malawi
  • Good grasp of the cause and impact of HIV/AIDS, current issues pertaining Reproductive Health and other Social Health issues in Malawi
  • Skills to analyze, interpret and assist to solve difficult problems
  • Be self-starter, effective team player and demonstrated verifiable result-oriented track record
