JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI) seeks dynamic and highly experienced candidates for multiple positions for anticipated USAID/ Malawi HIV Prevention activities under PEPFAR. The program aims to expand the use of high quality, integrated, sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and HIV prevention services by high-risk populations, especially men and adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), in PEPFAR priority districts, including VMMC, PrEP for high risk populations, targeted HIV testing with linkages to anti-retroviral treatment (ART), and comprehensive condom promotion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead M&E implementation efforts;
  • Work with program staff and stakeholders to develop monitoring, evaluation and reporting (MER) systems that include appropriate indicators, baseline data, targets and a plan to evaluate performance and produce timely, accurate and complete reporting, and identify ways to provide local feedback of results;
  • Design and execute qualitative research to obtain client feedback on barriers and facilitating factors to use of program services;
  • Document and present program results and lessons learned to USAID and other key stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Master’s Degree or higher in Public Health, Social Sciences, or other relevant discipline;
  • Minimum 8 years working on M&E in the public health and HIV fields;
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing rigorous quantitative and qualitative data collection systems and in methods for data analysis;
  • Hands-on practical experience setting up and managing MER systems for health programs in developing countries, and the ability to coach and train others in their use;
  • Knowledge of M&E issues and indicator development for HIV prevention and service delivery strengthening related to HIV/AIDS; familiarity with PEPFAR indicators and reporting requirements;
  • Excellent report writing, analytical and oral presentation skills;
  • Experience in knowledge management and dissemination of research findings;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with national, district and community authorities, the USG and other donors, as well as USG and other implementing partners.

Salary commensurate with experience.
