Peace Corps, an International Development Agency of the US Government, has an immediate opening for a Temporary Driver. This is a short-term position for a five month period from April to August, 2019 and will be based in Kasungu District. The successful candidate will work in consultation with the Motor pool Coordinator, Training Director and Training Staff
The suitable candidate will be highly motivated and pay close attention to detail. Previous work with international volunteer organizations or in culturally diverse workplaces desired.
Qualifications for the job include:
Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience as professional driver.
A valid PG drivers license with a defensive driving certificate and a record of safe driving.
Strong inter-personal skills in order to work well with people in a multi-cultural setting, including Peace Corps Volunteers, stakeholders, vendors and clients including members from the United States Government.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member, prioritize multiple tasks, pay close attention to details, and follow-upon on duties.
Good spoken and written Chichewa and English.
Completion of secondary education and vocational training or apprentice.
