Data Protection and Consent
Vacorn is a registered HR Consulting and Internet publishing firm with registration number MBRS1027692.
In principle, Vacorn will only commence Pre-Employment Screening (PES) once they have the candidate’s signed consent to do so. The consent process clearly defines the purpose of the personal information gathered and only data required necessary for the PES is collected.
Use of Personal Data
Vacorn only uses a candidate’s personal data for the purposes of PES as specified on their consent form and it will not sell or otherwise release any personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Vacorn reserves the right to disclose personal information as required by law or in order to protect our rights and/or comply with a legal proceeding, court order or a request from a regulator.
Subject Access Rights
Candidates may request details of their personal information which is held by Vacorn. A fee will be payable. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please inform us as soon as possible. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
Storage of Data
In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, Vacorn has put in place rigorous physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure all the information we collect. Our in-house servers are backed up at a secure, remote location. All our systems are password protected to ensure there is no unauthorized access to personal data.
Sharing of Data & Data Transfer
Data obtained by us may be transferred to jurisdictions outside Malawi to its trusted partners who are professional companies with unquestionable reputation. However, there may be different data protection standards. Vacorn is unable to guarantee the same protection rights once data is transmitted across the border.
All our employees are thoroughly vetted and sign confidentiality agreements and are periodically monitored for compliance.
